Help with our accounting platform integrations
I've set up my integration but nothing is pulling into my model on Powdr.
Make sure you are logged into Powdr and viewing your model. Make sure the integration is in fact set up - you can do this by clicking the person icon in the top right hand side and clicking integrate. If you click this and can see your relevant accounting platform linked up then great, the integration is there! From there navigate to "integrations" which you will see on the blue navigation panel on the left.
If you haven't yet done this step it will tell you that you don't yet have an integration for this project and you can click to integrate. You'll just need to select the company you want to integrate. Once this step is done you can return to this page to set up your mappings and build your project.
If you are hitting an error and can't get the above to work please get in touch below.
My numbers aren't balancing once I have integrated them
Powdr pulls figures directly from your accounting software. There are a couple of reasons why your figures aren't balancing in the balance sheet, firstly is that they don't balance on your accounting software in the first place in which case fixing the figures in your accounting software then updating the figures via the integrations page in Powdr will sort this. Secondly you may have mapped something to the wrong place in Powdr (e.g. an asset is mapped to a liability in Powdr), we suggest always checking your mappings match where the line item actually sits. You can do this by going to your integration page on Powdr and comparing this to your accounting software lines.
If there are any issues that the above doesn't fix please get in touch below.
I have another month of data, how do I update this in my model?
You can update your model in Powdr with up to date information in just a couple of clicks if you have an integration in place. Firstly be sure to map all of your incomings and outgoings on your accounting software before moving into Powdr. Once you are ready go to the integrations page, click to actualise and update your figures and then click to import them into your model. Your model will now reflect another month of actuals.
Please note, Powdr holds your forecasts still. If you want these to move in line with your actuals you will need to go into the assumption tabs and on the first forecast month "undo" the override. This will then adjust any assumptions to move along with your forecasts.
